A visit to SUEDE NYC will have you on island time

I was so happy SUEDE in Flatbush, Brooklyn invited me in for weekend brunch because the whole experience was one comparable to a day on island time (if you’ve ever experienced Caribbean life you’d know exactly the feeling); their rich and tasty food recipes along with the backyard sanctuary will have you on a mini vacation in NYC.

Expect to have multiple IG photoshoots (I will spare you the shots of me in front of the fountain), but there really is something to be said about the ambiance of SUEDE that gets the weekend brunch party going.

And don’t think you’ll visit without trying some #draaaaanks; I’m telling you right now: prepare for strong cocktail mixes to go with your cuisine. Like: one coconut margarita (Coconut Puree, tequila, lime), and you’re toast.

“Caribbean Breeze Ice Tea” (vodka, rum, tequila, gin, pineapple juice, mango juice):

SUEDE’s beverage program has drinks from a library of over 100 Caribbean rum flavors, that along with a lounge on their patio will have you feeling rejuvinated, ready for Monday.

Oh, and the food; cannot forget the most important part!

Homemade waffles with rum soaked raisins and crispy fried chicken (also in the main photo):

Shrimp and grits that are SO good, I had to take like six naps afterwards:

The patio will be open until the weather decides to turn cold for good, so make sure to plan on visiting SUEDE within the next month. I’m telling you it’s worth every second of your commute.
