It’s time to start planning your spring vacation to London

There was a time in my life where I would hop on a plane without even thinking, fearlessly packing my bags and traveling to any random city just for the thrill of it—I would do almost anything to experience someplace new. And one of the most memorable of those times was when I got to visit London (twice) in the spring and summer of 2019.

Not only is the weather mostly ideal in the months of May and June, but the whole city is seemingly decorated with gorgeous and perfectly arranged floral designs; everyone is out on the street drinking at 4pm you’d think nobody had real jobs, and there’s just an overall happy-go-lucky vibe radiating through the city that makes you feel so alive! Some of my favorite moments during my time there were truly unforgettable. Here’s some of my top recommendations of things to do during your spring getaway in the UK:

Take a walk down Portabello Road and pretend like you’re in the movie Notting Hill

Rooftop drinks with panoramic city views on top of The Shard at Oblix

A must-see landmark is Covent Garden while having lunch inside at the best restaurant Buns N’ Buns

Walk down the famous Brick Lane in the hip Shoreditch neighborhood and chill at any one of the cafes or shop at the vintage boutiques

A London staple you cannot miss out on is Piccadilly Circus aka the “Times Square of London” that will leave you amused with its bustling atmosphere and classic architecture on Regent Street

See what is secretly known as one of London’s most Instagrammable places on Carnaby Street in Soho

Meditate at Mary’s Rose Garden at The Regent’s Park

Take a day trip to the biggest Hindu temple in Europe Shri Swaminarayan

Cross the historic Tower Bridge for a popular photo opportunity

Change up the scenery and visit Brixton aka “Brooklyn of London” and stop by for an authentic vegan meal at Eat of Eden

Then while in the neighborhood stop by for dessert at Love Churros at the popular Pop Brixton space featuring some of London’s most exciting food startups

Wander around St. James Park and get lost in what feels like a real life version of the movie Secret Garden

And while you’re lollygagging in the ambiance, before you know it you will be stumbling upon none other than Buckingham Palace

Stay energized in between excursions and have a proper English Breakfast 24/7 at VQ Restaurant

Wake up early for a sunrise at the London Eye and afterwards cross the Westminster Bridge

Admire any of the storefront displays in their over-the-top spring decor like this one at Fenwick on Bond Street

Be a basic American and go to the gigantic Westfield Mall in Shepherd’s Bush

Oh, and how could I forget: obsess over the red telephone booths everywhere because it’s the most London thing ever
