I am from Cleveland so it is no joke that I’ve been a victim of a sort of emotional sports rollercoaster for most of my life: so many seasons filled with way too many SO CLOSE OH MY GOD games that it came to the point of being like, seriously, Cleveland?
But regardless of anything that has happened in the past there is this universal understanding of heartfelt emotion shared by some of the greatest fans in the world in the Midwestern city that really came out tenfold when LeBron said he was coming home, as if “The Decision” had never happened.
And in light of this new era in Cleveland sports, we are pretty damn lucky to have such players like – ehem! – the King Himself, along with guys like Mr. Irving, Andy Varejão, Dion Waiters, and of course KEVIN LOVE, who seems to also have been recruited by a stroke of luck on the Cavs side combined with the right moves by James’ agent getting him back to Cleveland.
Now a squad has most definitely been formed with a special group of forces that just might have the power to lead Cleveland to a championship this season – which, those words alone are enough to send that little rush of sports excitement through my bones. Which brings me back to Kevin Love, my, uhh, new Cavs “love”.
