Ever have one of those days where you don’t really have any intent on where to go, but somehow end up at the coolest spot ever? That’s kinda what happened to me today when I stumbled upon a rainbow “Macaroon Day 2016” sign outside of Francois Payard Bakery in Greenwich where they were giving away free macaroons for the NYC-established “day” that’s kind of a big deal.
The French bakery is a popular go-to, featuring their signature Macaron Doughnuts and also a forthcoming Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich set for this Memorial Day (which I absolutely *need*).
In the meantime, stop by the shop and get a macaroon (or five), and start counting down the days until next year’s much celebrated #MacaroonDay.
