“A new international photography competition that puts the spotlight on talented photographers from around the world and celebrates the rural and urban landscape of the U.S.A.”
Over the past year or so I have been traveling around the US trying to get that perfect sunrise shot (Cleveland to New York to Vermont to Maine to Cape Cod), and per chance I came around to the 2013 United States Photographer of the Year award opportunity in Popular Photography magazine, making these captures feel even more worth while (not to mention possibly squeezing in a few more trips before the deadline).
So after excitingly deciding to actually pursue trying to choose just three of my hundreds of photographs from the many ventures, the whole thing became this real opportunity to perfect my craft (oh yeah, the prize is $10,000 in case you thought you weren’t going to waste your time).
You have until April 10th to enter (and edit, edit, edit!), but judging by how fast summer went by you’d better get right on that.
