Stop everything you’re doing (tweeting) for one second and remember that this whole Twitter thing is symbolized by a little blue bird (making it seem somewhat pathetic at times). It is with this blue bird (and the right engineering, of course) we are able to engage in the ridiculousness that is the fire hose of Twitter, the Twitterverse, if you will.
And today the blue bird of Twitter has taken on a new identity, and by new identity we mean that it’s a tiny bit different in its simpler style:
“Our new bird grows out of love for ornithology, design within creative constraints, and simple geometry. This bird is crafted purely from three sets of overlapping circles — similar to how your networks, interests and ideas connect and intersect with peers and friends. Whether soaring high above the earth to take in a broad view, or flocking with other birds to achieve a common purpose, a bird in flight is the ultimate representation of freedom, hope and limitless possibility.”
In other words, tweet on, tweet out, Twitterers.
