Despite all my insistent, whiny and yes, accurate declarations that television consistently outshines movies, the Emmys are still somehow merely a shadow in the Oscar’s saturated hype machine. Giving more awards to “Flash Forward” than “The Wire” will do that. Still the nominees have been getting steadily better since the inexcusable “Wire” omissions and I’m gonna fill out picks for non-existent Emmy pools until the rest the world catches up.
