That one time some guy from Oklahoma drove 12 hours to get Dennis Rodman’s autograph tattooed on his arm

When I think of Living Social I think of BOGO deals on Tupperware or a free paraffin wax with the purchase of sixteen haircuts, even though the site has nothing to do with any of that and most times offer more group-related, “going out” deals (I guess I blame Groupon for this). But in a more ridiculous case of Living Social “deals,” you could purchase “The Dennis Rodman Viewing Experience,” aka hanging out with Dennis Rodman for a few hours watching some game at a Chicago bar for $59—$129 if you wanted the VIP treatment. And some guy named Kris Glenn from Oklahoma was realllly excited about this, because it would be the perfect time to finally get that Dennis Rodman autograph tattoo he’s always wanted. Seriously.

“I knew in my head when I was going that I was gonna do everything I could to get him to autograph my arm with the intention of getting it tattooed,” Glenn said.  “[Rodman] said ‘are you really gonna get it tattooed,’ and I said ‘hell yeah I am.’”

The tattoo says, “Dennis Worm Rodman,” and well, it is what it is: “What I got tattooed is exactly what he wrote and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Compared to the other autographs he gave that night, it’s a little bit more legible,” Glenn added.

Out of 60 people who bought the viewing experience deal Glenn was the only one who got any ink done. The Oklahoma fan has been Rodman obsessed for over 20 years and noted that he, “[doesn’t] think that this tattoo was anything that was spur of the moment.”
