The worldly and wonderful tastes of TacNRoll

Usually when you’re REALLY hungry the rule is you buy the first semi-decently good-looking food item in site (hopefully at a place with an “A” health inspection rating). And sometimes in those moments you stumble across something truly special, which is exactly what happened to me when I ended up at TacNRoll in the East Village a little while back.

The owner Eric, who incorporates spices and flavors from all over the world into his amazing tacos, was inspired by different countries he has visited: Korea, Jamaica, and India to name a few, making his concept anything but ordinary.

I have had the pleasure in enjoying some of these tacos on more than one occasion, and while they are absolutely incredible to eat, they also photograph really well, too:

“Tikka Takka” Indian paratha taco with Marsala marinade, green chutney, white sauce, cabbage, and kachumber salad:

“Rude Bwoy” with jerk marinade, wild caper pineapple aioli, red onion, jicama, and mango:

“Pulgogi” taco with bulgogi marinade, sweet citron, spicy gochujang sauce, red cabbage, sweet onions, and kimchi:

Switch it up with a TacNRoll taco bowl:
