Santa Monica pizza joint Wildflour gives locals and tourists every reason to come back for more

In Los Angeles you never know where you’ll end up for dinner, but we were struck by Wildflour Pizza‘s bright yellow building on Main St. in downtown Santa Monica and decided to give it a try. And in their case, the shop’s design is up to par with their gourmet Italian food.

Guests who dine-in can look forward to a lovely ambiance either outside on the patio, where the plants and flowers contrast perfectly with the yellow color scheme to create a relaxing atmosphere, or their is seating available inside. You order at the counter and they will call your number when it’s ready–choosing among their extensive menu ranging anywhere from a series of Italian subs to gourmet pastas and calzones. Though they are most famous for their pizza that boasts a wide variety of toppings and combos to choose from (we had the Vegetarian Special that was fabulous).

If you don’t feel like dining out, Wildflour has a pretty convenient online ordering system via their site that charges $1 for delivery if you’re within a 5 mile radius. They’ve been in business for nearly 30 years, and based on our last visit, it’s likely they will be for 30 more.
