This month celebrates the 25th year anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and fans all over the world are rejoicing because for the first time ever they will be able to experience Star Trek like never before at a very special event put on by Fathom Events: screening select episodes (Episode 106: “Where No One Has Gone Before,” and Episode 114: “Datalore”) through the National CineMedia’s Digital Broadcast Network to over 500 theaters nationwide.
Vice President of Fathom Events said, “[t]he advancements in technology are really an advantage for fans. Fans will be able to experience 2K digital projection, which has a much greater resolution than film.”
The 25th anniversary screening “will include exclusive looks at the massive restoration of season one, never-before-seen interviews with the original cast members and behind-the-scenes looks at the artists who created the original FX elements and photography during the making of the show,” plus an additional sneak-peek at “Measure of a Man.”
