Redefining pup culture: fashion trends at the Taiwanese Taipei Pet Show

Does your puppy play basketball or by chance have a very important interview coming up? Considering dog brains are about the size of an orange, both are probably not the case. But it’s always fun to pretend. And at this year’s four day-long Taipei Pet Show in Taiwan, people have gone well out of their way to coordinate some pretty funny and humanlike outfits for their canine friends, like puppy hightop kicks and designer puppy shades.

Around 154,989 attended last year’s show with over 600 booths, and it’s likely this year’s show attracted many more who are obsessed with accessorizing and puppy couture (like makeup, wigs–there was even one dressed as Super Mario).
