Prohibition Hour, private dining, and all the holiday vibes at Louie and Chan NYC

If there’s one thing you have probably learned about me, it’s that I love to eat (and take semi-professional food Instagram pics). So I guess that just means sometimes I get to dine in style, this time at Louie and Chan‘s Media Dinner and Prohibition Night thanks to a very special (and swanky!) invite from my new found affiliates The Same Paige Co., a dynamic duo based in NYC known for their PR and communications.

The evening started with a very special Prohibition Hour at 7pm (which happens every Tuesday)—where you can go back and relive the glorious days of when cocktails were just 35 cents; everyone is dressed like they are the Cat’s Meow, and you definitely won’t feel like it’s about to be the year 2016.

I also suggest arriving a bit early, as the demand is high for this very limited time traveling price with a line likely out the door.

A jazz band The New Wonders also plays in the Parlor all night to accompany live burlesque.

After a couple cocktails and getting a little balled up we were directed to Louie and Chan’s Private Dining Room where the setup was beyond exquisite and the space was very intimate, perfect for a holiday gathering or event for around 15 or so people.

I was definitely not prepared for what was to come; the 5 course meal customized by Louie and Chan made me feel like I was really living that Great Gatsby life—something everyone should feel at least once in their lifetime.

For a stylish gathering for your holiday party or maybe even if you just want to cut a rug on a Tuesday, Louie and Chan’s varietal venue offers many options for winter fun.
