Through all of this political nonsense and unavoidable noise that comes with election season, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have agreed to throw a giant party-fundraiser at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Manhattan on September 18 for Obama. So you know, all the rich and famous people who wanna donate will be all, “Obama’s definitely the right choice—oh, I’d LOVE some caviar with Crystal on ice.” Beyoncé’s surprise appearance in Obama’s latest campaign e-mail said her and “Jay […] will be meeting up with President Obama for an evening in NYC sometime soon. And we want you to be there!” Tickets are going for around $40,000 and are very encouraging to those high-rollers who have some extra cash lying around (so not the 99%). Donators who contribute as little as even $5 will be put in a raffle for a chance to attend the party, much like George Clooney and Sarah Jessica Parker’s political fundraisers in the past.
