Farm-to-table burgers underground at Thunderbun

Sometimes your favorite burger joint (Schnippers) has a spinoff sister restaurant, and it’s all about the burgers baby! At Thunderbun you’re underground 1 NY PLAZA in lower Manhattan on the concourse level alongside many options in a mini food court. And YES: there are veggie sammies available!

I had the pleasure of dining in one Friday night after eating at Schnippers (they have similar menus) and there was no shortage of burgers (prepare for some legendary stacks for the ‘gram); in fact, I was overwhelmed with all of combos and just how well they photographed (can you really get a bad picture of a gorgeously hand-crafted juicy burger?).

The best part: they’re farm-to-table, sourced right from Creekstone Farms USDA certified premium Angus Black Beef.

From top to bottom: the “Chile Gordo“, with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, pickled red onions, and chipotle dressing; “The Thunderbun”, with smashed with onions and Double American cheese on a steamed potato bun.
