An Adventure in Space and Time: Doctor Who fans celebrate with a docudrama on BBC America that’s sure to be a Whovian delight

“We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?” – The Doctor, Season 5, Episode 13

With only 20 days to shoot and not the biggest of budgets, Doctor Who‘s docudrama / 50 year anniversary tribute An Adventure in Space and Time is looking like a lot of fun. Early reviews are saying Terry McDonough (Breaking Bad, The Street) et al “knocked it out of the park,” and based on the cast of David Bradley (Game of Thrones, Harry Potter) and Brian Cox alone I doubt this could be anything but great.

Kicking off in 1963 then flashing back to when the show was just a mere idea by BBC Head of Drama Sydney Newman, the special will go back to the show’s origins and celebrate the birth of a TV phenomenon that was way ahead of its time to “keep the sports fans and kids hooked.”
