A taste of Dade in NYC: Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill in DUMBO

When I was given the opportunity to try a four course meal at one of Brooklyn’s hottest sushi spots SUGARCANE Raw Bar Grill that first opened in Miami, I found it hard to say no as I was needing any sort of distraction from an otherwise vacationless lull stuck in the city.

And believe me when I say that my DUMBO escape was more than expected; everything at Sugarcane Raw Bar from the food to the cocktails (main photo: Sugarcane’s Moscow Mule) and atmosphere was an absolute pleasure, comparable to other fancy shmancy hip seafood spots like Nobu.

If you’re looking for those Miami vibes you need, definitely make a trip to Brooklyn for the Sugarcane experience. Take a peek at what we had. My favorite was the elote (I’m a simple kind of gal!); also honorable mention to the seafood platter for being nothing short of a spectacle.
